Our Wedding

It was in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, that Jess made the bold decision to move to Mesa, Arizona, to live with four strangers. Despite the uncertain times, they quickly became close friends, forming a tight-knit bond in their shared home. But among these new friendships, there was someone Jess hadn’t met yet—Cody, a person that would soon mean the world to her. Cody had gone to high school with one of her roommates, but it would take an unexpected evening for them to know each other as more than just a name.. One warm August night, Cody came over to smoke a cigar with Jess’s roommate, Devin. After his friend retired for the evening, rather than head home, Cody lingered, drawn in by the lively company in the living room where Jess and her friends were watching Lord of the Rings. As Cody joined them on the couch, there was an unspoken connection beginning to take shape. Later that night, after everyone had left, Jess felt a spark of curiosity and followed Cody on Instagram. Little did she know, the moment she clicked "follow," their story had already started writing itself. The next day, Cody slid into her DMs, asking her out for coffee, and with that simple invitation, the rest of their lives had begun. Their first date felt like a scene out of a romantic movie. What was meant to be a quick coffee turned into four hours of effortless conversation, laughter, and stolen glances. They sat outside the café, completely lost in conversation, so much so that neither one noticed the sunburns forming on themselves. They wouldn't have cared anyway, as they had found something far more beautiful than the weather could disrupt. In that sun-soaked morning, a new chapter began, one filled with the promise of something lasting and real. From that day forward, their love story continued to blossom, full of shared moments, deep conversations, and endless laughter. The rest, as they say, is history, but for Jess and Cody, it’s only the beginning of forever.

The Event

We are so excited to invite you to our wedding reception in Downtown Chandler at <a href="https://www.hiddenhouseaz.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Hidden House</a>. The Hidden House holds a special place in our hearts, as it’s our go-to spot for anniversaries and special occasions, making it the ideal place to host this important day in our lives. The dress code for the evening is cocktail attire, but kilts are very much welcomed as we’ll be celebrating Cody's Scottish heritage! Beware, Arizona can still reach temperatures of 90 degrees during the night, so pack accordingly.

Visiting Guests

For those traveling from out of town, we’re so happy you’re making the trip to celebrate with us! This serene venue, located just 45 minutes from Weaverville, offers a beautiful and intimate setting for our celebration. We’ve reserved the entire property exclusively for the occasion, ensuring we can all enjoy the beauty of the outdoors together without interruption. While the cabins on-site will have closed reservations for the event, there are nearby Airbnbs if you’re planning to stay in Trinity Center overnight. The dress code for the evening is semi-formal, so feel free to dress comfortably while still looking your best! Kilts are also very much welcomed as we’ll be celebrating Cody's Scottish heritage! We’re delighted to announce that dinner will be specially provided by the father of the bride, Max Mucklow, with a delicious spread that we can’t wait for you to enjoy. Of course, there will also be an open bar for you to relax and raise a glass with us throughout the night. For those who wish to smoke, there will be a designated smoking area on the grounds to keep the environment pleasant for all guests. We can’t wait to share this unforgettable evening with you, filled with good food, drinks, and memories!

We are so excited to welcome you to Jessica’s beautiful hometown! Weaverville is a charming, small town with lots of natural beauty and local charm. Since it’s a smaller community, we encourage you to take some time to research what the area has to offer before your trip. For fun activities, you can catch a movie at the <a href="https://trinitytheatre.us/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Trinity Movie Theatre</a>, explore the fabulous hiking trails around, or spend a day at the gorgeous Trinity Lake. When it comes to dining, don’t miss out on local favorites like <a href="https://www.trinitycountybrewingcompany.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Trinity County Brewing Co.</a>, <a href="https://www.trinityalpsgolfandrestaurant.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Golf Course</a>, and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/rustic_crumble/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Rustic Crumble</a>—though keep in mind, there aren’t many more options, so plan accordingly!
